Danish Battery Symposium 2021
The annual symposium took place as an online event using DTU Energy Town due to the covid-19 situation. After a welcome from the host Poul Norby (DTU), Anders Jensen (DTI) gave a presentation about a new EU directive on battery recycling. Afterwards a poster session were held where the members could present their activities. Gunnar Rohde (DaCES) gave the second and last presentation about myths & facts on batteries. Danish Battery Symposium 2019
The 7th annual symposium in the Danish Battery Society was hosted by the Department of Chemical Engineering in Aarhus and during the day, a tour of the battery laboratory facilities at AU was given. The speakers: Dr. Christine Minke MBA on Economic and environmental assessment of vanadium redox flow batteries, Michael J. Aziz, Gene and Tracy Sykes Professor of Materials and Energy Technologies
on Organic-Based Aqueous Flow Batteries for Stationary Storage, Lars Kruse, Director on Smart Cloud Control of Battery Energy Storage Systems and Patrik Johansson, Professor on Promises, Problems and Proof-of-Concept for Ca and Al Batteries. They all gave insightfull talks and their presentations can be found on Google drive here

The 2018 symposium in the Danish Battery Society was hosted by Danish Technological Institute at their great facilities in Høje Taastrup. The speakers Dr. Peter Fischer from Fraunhofer Institute for Chemical Technology and Dr. Eric C. Darcy from NASA-Johnson Space Center got the meeting of to a great start with two insightfull talks. Danish Battery Symposium 2017
The 2017 symposium in the Danish Battery Society was hosted by Dorthe Ravnsbæk and her group at the University of Southern Denmark in a comfortable campus setting outside Odense. After a short but impressive introduction by Dorthe Bomholdt Ravnsbæk on the activities at SDU, the speakers Dr. Timothy Patey from ABB, Switzerland and Dr. Peter Axmann from ZSW, Germany kicked of the meeting with two interesting talks.
