Danish Battery Symposium 2015

We are pleased to invite you to

Danish Battery Symposium 2015

at Department of Energy Technology, Aalborg University

Pontoppidanstræde 105, rum 3.115

Thursday, 5 March 2015

from 9.40am to 5pm

This is the second annual symposium in the Danish Battery Society. We look forward to present updates from the national research and development, as well as inspiring invited speakers to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing – both within and outside the society and both nationally and internationally.

The main focus of the symposium is on current and future battery activities in Denmark with updates from research and industry. To give an international perspective on the development, we will invite four international speakers that will be announced as they are confirmed. Our aim is to have talks on both fundamental and applied research. The agenda is found by following the link below.

As usual, we will hold the general meeting at 8.30 am, before the symposium.

Our Goal

Danish Battery Conference 2013 The battery research is blooming in Denmark and a number of Danish companies are already focusing on developing materials and implementing batteries in commercial products.

The active players in Denmark are often small groups and to compete internationally, we see a need for exchange of knowledge and experience, i.e. characterization methods, lab facilities, types of batteries and market trends.

In recent years a number of interest groups have been founded to meet a need of sharing knowledge within a specific type of battery chemistry or a specific application of batteries, but so far no association has tried to gather and share information across the various research areas.

The purpose of the Danish Battery Society is to create a forum to share knowledge through targeted events and an annual meeting.
