Danish Battery Symposium 2017

The symposium dinner is from 18:00 in Odense.
This is the fifth annual symposium in the Danish Battery Society. We look forward to present updates from the national research and development, as well as inspiring invited speakers to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing – both within and outside the society and both nationally and internationally.
The main focus of the symposium is on current and future battery activities in Denmark with updates from research and industry. To give an international perspective on the development, we have invited four international speakers that will be announced as they are confirmed. Our aim is to have talks on both fundamental and applied research. The agenda is found by following the link below.
The general meeting is planned for an afternoon session at 16:30, between the symposium and the dinner. For those not attending the general meeting, we will serve refreshments and encourage to networking with the other participants.

Symposium fee
The symposium fee is:
DKK 500 for members (Both personal members and employees of member companies/institutes)
DKK 800 for non-members (You can sign up as a member below)
DKK 200 for student members (Bachelor- and master-student members)
After the symposium we will host a dinner. The society will cover half of the dinner costs so that we can offer this possibility for only DKK 200 per participant. You can sign up for the conference and as a member at the same time to get your discount at our website.

The meeting will take place at at Department of Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy, University of Southern Denmark.
The conference room is located as the first on the right, when you enter from entrance O. The room number is V18-501-1. You can easily find it from the link below.
NB: Remember to make a digital parking registration if you arrive by car. When parking at SDU you need to make a digital parking registration via the self-service Ipads placed at the building entrances. Once you have entered your registration number your permit will be valid until 23h59 on the same day.

Our Goal
The battery research is blooming in Denmark and a number of Danish companies are already focusing on developing materials and implementing batteries in commercial products.
The active players in Denmark are often small groups and to compete internationally, we see a need for exchange of knowledge and experience, i.e. characterization methods, lab facilities, types of batteries and market trends.
In recent years a number of interest groups have been founded to meet a need of sharing knowledge within a specific type of battery chemistry or a specific application of batteries, but so far no association has tried to gather and share information across the various research areas.
The purpose of the Danish Battery Society is to create a forum to share knowledge through targeted events and an annual meeting.
