Biography

Graduated from Aarhus University (MSc, physics and chemistry, 1969); nuclear reaction spectroscopy (NBI, Risø, 1966-1970). 1970-73, University of Brasilia, Brasil (Mössbauer, NMR, and NQR of iron group compounds).

1973-today, Odense University, now SDU; lektor (associate professor) in Physics (surface physics), 1977. PhD 1978, DSc 1991. Visiting professor at Stanford (1980-81), TU München, 1984-86, scientific director, EuroPACE, Paris, 1988-1991.

Visiting professor, IISc, Bangalore from 2005 (frequent visits). Regular visitor/user at ASTRID, Aarhus (synchrotron radiation facility) since 1992.

Current activities: Nanomaterials for energy- and environmental purposes.
