With the epidemic countermeasures implemented by the Danish authorities Wednesday evening, we now know for sure that it was the right decision to cancel the Danish Battery Symposium 2020. The Board of the Danish Battery Society has now agreed on how we shall proceed and will implement the following:
- The participation fee for the Symposium will be reimbursed and the process is being prepared and should be executed shortly.
- We will soon call for a rescheduled General Assembly for members in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Danish Battery Society, to for example elect members of the Board and approve the Annual Report. The meeting will be either online or with written voting. We will decide on format and date in about two weeks and then send out an invitation.
- The invited speakers for the Symposium have agreed to conduct their presentations in a series of webinars that we expect to run in April, May, and June. We will send out invitations as soon as dates have been agreed.
- Finally, when the situation in Denmark is back to normal, we will begin to plan physical meetings on battery topics again. These will then be announced in our newsletter, so make sure you are signed up.
