Presentations from event at DTI Århus on ‘experience exchange of battery testing’

On June 29, 2017, Danish Technological Institute (DTI) in Århus was hosting a DBS event on knowledge sharing of testing commercial lithium ion batteries.
Bjarne Johnsen and Kjeld Nørregaard from DTI gave an interesting laboratory tour of their battery test facilities. The laboratory includes test equipment for battery cycling and temperature chambers. Practical issues like battery fixture construction, voltage and temperature sensing, procedures for thermal runaway, etc. was discussed.

Afterwards, presentations was given by Martin Zacho from Schneider Electric on energy storage for Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) and by Vaclav Knap and Erik Schaltz from Aalborg University on their laboratory equipment and experience on Reference Performance Tests, Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy, and test constrains related to lithium-sulfur batteries.
